5m = 2 yard
6m = 2 yard
7m = 2½ yard
8m = 2½ yard or 3 yard
9m = 3 yard
10m = 3 yard or 4 yard

Pole height - Recommended yard size

1.5 m = 1½ yard
2 m = 1½ yard - 2 yard
2.5 m = 2 yard
3 m = 2 yard - 2½ yard

If the site is exposed or the pole is older, choose the smaller size to reduce strain on the flagpole, halyard, cleat and truck head.
